In Memoriam

My Father
My
father, Albert, was a wonderful man. He was
intelligent and extremely talented. I absolutely
adored my daddy. At the
age of 59, after suffering with depression, he chose to
move on to a better place. I lost him to suicide
on May 16, 1992.
My First Husband
My
first husband, Ellwood, was a very special
person. He was intelligent, fun, witty, and
talented. He suffered with Manic Depression.
His illness took a serious turn for the worse, and after
suffering horribly for several years, he chose to move
on to a better place. I lost him to suicide on
March 31, 1993.
I
owe Ellwood a great deal. He taught me so much
about life, love, and me.
Before
he died, he asked me to make him a promise. He
asked me to promise, that when he died, I would write a
poem about 'us'. He asked that I would see to it
that people read the poem. He wanted me to tell the
world that 'we' existed; he wanted me to tell the world
how much we loved each other. Although it was very
hard, I wrote my Ellwood his poem. Please visit 'Broken
Hearts' to help me keep my promise.
My Uncle Robert
My
Uncle Robert was a good man, with a heart of gold.
With him, I never felt that he just tolerated me because
I was family. It was obvious that he loved me,
and, actually liked me. I think we always clicked
because we were both ornery, hard-headed and
independent. When I was young and foolish, I ran
away from my world. He always managed to keep in
touch with me. He never judged me; he never tried
to tell me what I should do. I think he knew that
someday I would be ready to come home, and that I would
need help getting there. He knew I was too proud
and stubborn to ever ask for help. So when I was
finally ready, I never had to ask. He was there
with open arms, ready to take me home.
